Nineteen senior citizens enjoyed lunch and a program August 9 at Burns Community Center.
Barbara Smith of Marion gave the program. She showed a film and talked about elder abuse.
Shane Marler, marketing director at Peabody Health and Rehab, attended the meeting and offered to come to the monthly meetings to take blood pressure readings for those in attendance.
