Car theft may be linked to spree

A car stolen Sunday from near Almena and 120th Rds. is believed to be part of a spree.

Dallas and Deena Boese reported their car stolen Sunday. It had a full tank of gas and a computer and Remington 12-gauge shotgun in it when it was stolen.

According to Sheriff Rob Craft, deputies think the theft is related to a series of thefts in the Hutchinson area.

“Vehicles were stolen from Hutchinson, and the suspect is believed to be the same,” Craft said.

Craft said he didn’t know when the vehicles had been stolen from Hutchinson or other areas.

A police broadcast about the vehicle, a blue Ford Mustang, said the suspect was wanted in multiple thefts in multiple jurisdictions and that some of the thefts had involved high-speed chases.
