The family of Marion native Howard Klein requests a card shower for his 90th birthday Oct. 14.

Klein was born on a farm north of Marion and graduated from Marion High School in 1944. He married Shirley Kaiser of Durham in 1953. After serving in the Army, Klein worked for Rock Island and Southern Pacific railroads until his retirement.

His daughters are Joreen Jones of Aurora, Colorado, Sandra Sutton of Abilene, and Diana Klein of Wellington.
