This truly is a caring community. We’re reminded of this quite often when a member of our community has a tragedy and the community comes to help.
I cannot begin to imagine what it would be like to lose a house and all my belongings — especially to have them within reach and not be able to get to them.
The Wildin-Anderson family was not the first to lose a house to fire — nor were they the last. On Sunday, a family in Lincolnville lost their home and belongings. It is a not-so-subtle reminder of our responsibility as members of this community to support those in need.
When word hit the streets that the Marion family had lost their home and belongings, people wanted to know what they could do to help.
Items were donated.
Prayers were prayed.
A community came together.
Now if we could just take some of this community spirit and apply it in other ways, we’d find all kinds of success.
