Marion Senior Center is collecting empty egg cartons and grocery coupons.

John and Carol Dvorak are filling the cartons with eggs for the food bank.

Coupons are collected by the Marion American Legion Auxiliary and distributed to military families. Coupons will be accepted up to three months outdated.

Assistant chief of police Clinton Jeffrey spoke to patrons Sept. 3 about a proposed city ordinance regarding all-terrain vehicles, golf carts, and their use in the city limits.

Patrons celebrated kitchen and dining room volunteer Ron Wright’s birthday on Aug. 28.

Rita Done will give a program on Sept. 17.
