Marion Senior Center

Thanks to Hillsboro senior center manager Brenda Moss and cook Kendra Henry, Marion senior center is back to serving hot meals.

Bob Crawford picks up meals each day, and Gayla Ratzlaff returns containers. Rebekah Hogue and Connie Fisher get everything ready in the Marion kitchen. The first day back, July 8, Rebekah put up a welcome sign and made sunflower cookies.

Ed Riffel has ended years of faithful service as a meals-on-wheels driver. New drivers include Bob Priest and Sheri Groening. Ginny Lind substitutes some Fridays.

Site managers from throughout the county attended a committee meeting July 9 in Marion. Mary Rogers presided.

Lucille Bitner brought in several jigsaw puzzles and a word game.

Aleya Ediger, who teaches water aerobics, spoke July 10. A program on beating the heat and dehydration is planned for July 24.
