MARION SENIOR CENTER:   Center seeks to avoid 'idle hands'

Senior Center correspondent

Marion Senior Center is searching for people to embroider tea towels as well as quilters to help make quilts.

Barb Smith’s past teaching experience was evident on Dec. 11 as she gave a second well-structured presentation about her trip to Peru.

Max Ewert read a cowboy poem he wrote to patrons on Dec. 12. The center encourages people to share stories and writings.

Sue Clough conducted a business meeting Dec. 17 at which Marion High School Singers sang Christmas music. Elsie Reiswig also provided table placemats she made on her computer.

The center will close New Year’s Day. The center will also close any time USD 408 cancels school because of bad weather conditions.
