The Centre Lady Cougars jumped out to an early 20-2 lead after one quarter Friday at Wakefield and never looked back, winning 57-25.
Exchange student Lotti Benning had her best game of the season offensively, hitting double figures for the first time with 15 points. She had 17 rebounds.
Shelby Makovec had 19 points, including five 3-pointers. Nellie Kassebaum had three assists, and Brenna Shields had five steals.
“For the second game of the week and the fifth of the last six games, we were able to keep our turnovers below 15,” coach Alan Stahlecker said, “which is always a goal for us.”
The girls play a homecoming game Friday against Chase County.
