CENTRE: Centre USD receives report card on performance

Centre USD #397 recently received a report from Kansas State Department of Education on student performances in school assessments during the 2007-08 school year.

The standard of excellence is awarded to specific grades/classes or school buildings which perform above the proficiency level required by the state.

In the Centre school district, the standard of excellence was achieved by the following:

Reading — third, fourth, sixth, and seventh grades; junior/senior high school, building-wide.

Math — fourth, fifth, sixth, and seventh grades; elementary school, building-wide; junior/senior high schools, building-wide.

Science — elementary school, building-wide.
