The horticulture class at Centre High School will be offering three colors of poinsettias for sale from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.

Under the tutelage of teacher Jon Meyer, students have learned the basic parts of plants, how to create floral arrangements, and how to grow various plants in a greenhouse.

They planted poinsettia seedlings in pots, learned proper spacing, and kept plants watered, learning how to help them grow and thrive. Saturday’s sale will be the culmination of their efforts.
