A group of Centre FFA members traveled to Indianapolis, Ind., Oct. 22-25, to attend the National FFA Convention.

The Ag Sales team of Amy Hajek, Nellie Hill, Kristine Jirak, and Julie Rziha competed and finished in the silver division among 40 states. They were asked to participate in an objective test as well as an oral sales presentation.

Participants completed a series of activities demonstrating their skills at prospecting customers, promoting products, advertising, and customer service. Members also made sales presentations as individuals and members of a team.

Other members who attended the convention included Mikael Antoszyk, Nathan Barney, Brian Burhoop, Trevor Hageberg, Heath Hill, Ripley Howard, Jacob Jirak, Adam Matz, Katie Remy, and Theo Kassebaum.

Members heard motivational speakers and attended workshops to learn leadership skills. First-time attendees were treated to a tour of the National FFA Center.

The group was sponsored by FFA advisers Cary Granzow and Gaea Wimmer.
