Centre girls place third at Buhler
Centre teams competed in a five-team Central Kansas Track League meet April 16 hosted by Central Christian High School at Buhler.
The girls finished in third place, behind Sedgwick and Fairfield and ahead of Central Christian and Herington.
Leading the girls’ team were second-place finishers Cassidy Hill in discus and javelin, Brenna Shields in long jump, and the 4x100-meter relay team.

Boys’ team
Ty Simons had two first-place finishes in hurdles, and a 4x100-meter relay team also placed first to lead the boys’ team. Grant Srajer and Dakota Stimpson had second-place finishes in triple jump and 300m hurdles, respectively. The team finished fifth overall.
