Centre hires director for day-care center

Centre school district has hired Janine Foth as director of a new day-care program.

She will begin training this fall in anticipation of the day-care building opening by the end of October.

The school board also voted to continue six-man football through the 2025-26 season. It approved 2.5% pay raises for teachers and student learning assistants in Centre’s online learning program. Members also approved five students for out-of-district attendance.

Board member Thien Antoszyk will serve as delegate to the Kansas Association of School Boards convention in November.
