Centre hires new principal

Centre school board on Monday approved Trevor Siebert’s hiring as the school’s new principal for grades six through 12 from July 2020 through June 2022.

Siebert previously worked as principal for grades seven through 12 at Stanton County High School.

Donald Raymer is leaving Centre after two years to take a post as principal at Marion High School.

Centre seniors Jensen Riffel and Braxton Smith were chosen as winners of the school’s Mowrer scholarship, which awarded each $4,000.

The school board approved a grant application for $31,087 in Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Funds, which is part of the federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security Act passed in March.
