Klenda takes second, team fourth in invitational

Centre High School senior Tyler Klenda placed second overall among 70 players April 12 at the Northern Heights Invitational Golf Tournament in Emporia.

Klenda scored a 77, 10 points behind the first-place finisher, Nick Walsh of Lyndon. Adam Matz also won a medal, finishing in 10th place with a score of 83.

The team finished fourth among 13 teams. Other individual finishers were Brian Burhoop, 32nd, with a score of 96; Trevor Hageberg, 35th, 96; Kodey Johnson, 36th, 98; and Dylan Svitak, 42nd, 101.
