Centre varsity scholars’ bowl team finished 7-2 Nov. 28 at Tescott, for second place in the meet.

Winning matches were against Miltonvale, 70-0; Wilson, 70-20; Glasco, 60-50; White City, 50-30; Osborne, 50-40; Tipton, 30-20; and Sylvan Lucas, 50-30.

Centre lost to Pike Valley, 40-50, and to St. John, 30-45.

Kate Basore was Centre’s leading scorer, with 170 points, followed by Max Svoboda with 160.

“It was a long drive but well worth the trip, winning seven rounds and being only narrowly defeated twice with a total of 450 points,” coach Angela Basore said.
