Centre took on Rural Vista Tuesday in White City, with the girls basketball team winning 44-32, while the boys lost 55-43.

Shelby Makovec and Shelby Pankratz each scored 14 points for the Cougars.

Rural Vista was scoreless in the second quarter as Centre built a 26-20 halftime lead, and the Cougars weren’t seriously challenged the rest of the way.

Rural Vista jumped out 18-9 in the boys’ game, and Centre couldn’t come back.

Dylan Deines led Centre scoring with 18 points, and Cole Srajer had 13.
