Centre’s school board voted Monday to accepted a $10,005-a-year bid from Hajek Enterprises to rent 160 acres two miles west of Lost Springs. The land was deeded to the district a few years ago by the Mowrer family.
Other bids included $8,332 from Cow Camp Ranch, $8,203 from Deines Farms, and $8,000 from Gary and Grant Evans.
The district also accepted a $554.24 bid from Marty Bell to rent a small acreage of grassland. Other bids included $344.25 from Stuart Andres, $488.84 from Scott Barlow, $326 from Heath Shields, and $481.95 from Hajek Enterprises.
The board canceled a payment of $330 a year for lighting at a Lincolnville ball diamond and approved purchases for a new concession stand and weight room. Furnishings for a new pre-kindergarten and day-care rooms will be moved in during spring break.
