Shelby Deines and Stephen Kaiser were awarded $1,000 scholarships from Tri-County Telephone Association, Inc.

The announcement was made March 16 at the organization’s annual meeting.

Shelby and Stephen are students at Centre High School. Their parents are Jeff and Gayla Deines and David and Dawn Kaiser.

To qualify, the high school seniors must maintain a 2.5 grade point average and have a parent or guardian with TCT local telephone access.

Six scholarships were awarded throughout the area served by TCT.

Ballots were tallied, re-electing Dean Miller to District 1, Anita Hummel to District 2, and Linda Wessel to District 5.

The newly elected member is Kenny Stroda to District 2, replacing Mark Reidy.
