Centre volleyball invitational is Saturday

Marion volleyball team will open the Centre invitational tournament with a 9 a.m. game against Life Prep Academy of Wichita.

Centre will play Rural Vista at 10 a.m.

Berean Academy, Herington, Little River, and Wichita Warriors are the other teams in the tourney.

Championship and third place matches are set for 4 p.m. but could run ahead of schedule.

Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for students.

Centre finished 0-2 in their first triangular of the season Aug. 30 at Canton Galva.

They lost to Canton Galva 19-25, 25-21, and 24-26 and to Inman, 15-25 and 20-25.
