Chingawassa Days canceled for 2021
Difficulty booking bands amid ongoing pandemic forces tough decision by organizers

Difficulty booking bands and extended guidelines to combat COVID-19 have led the Chingawassa Days committee to cancel the event again this year.
“Most of the acts are not really comfortable doing anything until late fall,” event organizer Adam Heerey said. “That’s just the general consensus there.”
The decision was partly based on state and city mandates as well as guidelines of their planned main acts, he said.
The committee had put hard work into planning this year’s event, and were disappointed as well, he said.
“We were hoping to get it going, but circumstances just didn’t allow that,” he said.
They plan to stay in contact with bands and their agents, and have regular meetings to plan next year.
“We can’t wait to have it and bring it to the community,” he said.
