CHS students excel at FBLA event

Several members of the Centre Future Business Leaders of America chapter brought home top finishes from the District Five competition Saturday at Canton-Galva High School.

Ally Basore in FBLA Principles and Procedures, Carrie Carlson in Job Interview, and Makenzie Deines in Public Speaking II earned first place.

The Parliamentary Procedures Team of Carlson, Bryanna Svoboda, Deines, Tom Oborny, and Nellie Kassebaum finished in second place.

The Network Design Team of James Wyatt, Houston Svoboda, and Justin Deines also received second place.

Ally Basore finished second in Word Processing I, and Carlson finished second in Future Business Leader.

First and second-place finishers will compete April 4 and 5 in state competition in Topeka.

Other participants were Sualeha Mustfa, Amy Makovec, Beka Basore, Cacey Simons, Tim Vinduska, Justin Bina, Abigail Svoboda, Kristin Vinduska, Shelby Makovec, Ty Simons, and Tom Oborny.
