Church Women United to gather for worship

Church Women United in Marion will be celebrating “A Prayer for All Seasons,” at 7 p.m. March 2 at Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

Choosing not to use printed World Day of Prayer material they once used, the group will use a worship service written by women in Kansas.

A spokesman said this is a unique opportunity to support Kansas women of various denominations. The offering taken will be given to National Church Women United.

Church Women United is a national ecumenical Christian women’s movement representing Protestant, Roman Catholic, Orthodox, and other Christian women. Founded in 1941, it has more than 1,200 local and state units in the U.S. and Puerto Rico.
