Marion city council members took care of a short list of year-end housekeeping tasks when they met Dec. 30.
After Cardie Oil’s reorganization, the company will no longer service fuel pumps at Marion municipal airport, city administrator Roger Holter said.
Holter said Cardie Oil wants $5,000 for the city to purchase the existing fuel pumps.
“New would be about $11,000,” Holter said.
Holter said the city can buy fuel from a wholesale petroleum company in Newton.Council members voted unanimously to purchase the fuel pumps, tanks, and fuel containment equipment.
Kansas Municipal Insurance Trust and League of Kansas Municipalities memberships were renewed for 2020. Stop signs on three streets were approved.
