City administrator Roger Holter said at Monday’s city council meeting that he recently received notice the city will only need to pay its share of engineering fees to resurface west Main St.
A grant for the project, in which the city has been responsible for $70,000, is now being funded at 100 percent of construction costs.
PRIDE member Gene Winkler said he has raised 65 percent of the money needed to purchase and put up a new, electronic sign board on Main St.
He said he would like to have the sign in place by Chingawassa Days.
Parks and Recreation director Margo Yates said new windows were being installed in the ball room.
Clayton Garnica, electrical supervisor, said the substation repair work is complete and considered a success.
