Online records of Kansas court filings remain unavailable after the system was attacked. These records were gathered by going to the Marion County district court clerk’s office.

Central National Bank filed suit Nov. 15 against Marc S. Schroeder seeking foreclosure of a mortgage on a house at 102 W. 2nd St. in Hillsboro. The bank seeks $33,001.26 and for the property to be sold at a sheriff’s sale.

Great Plains Federal Credit Union filed suit Nov. 15 against Thelma Wilson, Megan C. Hadden, and Kansas Department of Revenue seeking title be quieted on a 2010 Suzuki Grand Vitara. Wilson took a $6,025 loan on the Suzuki May 22 and defaulted. Hadden also has an interest in the Suzuki.

Hillsboro Police Department filed suit Thursday seeking seizure of a 2009 Saturn Outlook and $1,067 cash seized Nov. 13 from Robert M. Buhrle, 109 S. Ash St., Hillsboro, during a drug arrest.

Joanna and Mark Talbert filed suit Nov. 13 against John and Cindy Stucky. The Talberts seek an injunction instructing the Stuckys not to block an easement with a locked gate that prevents the Talberts from accessing their property.

Kaiden Trask, by and through his father, Marcus Trask, filed suit Nov. 6 against Linda Ramirez for damages he claims Kaiden incurred Sept. 17 when he was attacked by Ramirez’s Great Dane as he walked past 413 S. Roosevelt St. in Marion. Trask seeks more than $75,000 for past and future medical expenses, lost services and disability, pain and suffering, and disfigurement.

Evan Yoder filed suit Nov. 14 against Kelby Schmidt, claiming Schmidt’s 1994 Honda Accord rear-ended Yoder’s 1995 Ford Thunderbird Super Coupe on March 30, 2022, causing Yoder to suffer injury, damage to property, pain and suffering, past and future medical expenses, past and future disability, and mental anguish. At the time, Yoder told deputy Kaylan Miles that he had been coming to a stop and about to turn left. Schmidt told Miles that Yoder had slammed on his brakes and suddenly signaled a left turn while Schmidt was attempting to pass. Schmidt was ticketed for allegedly following too closely and passing improperly. Miles’s report also blamed the accident on Schmidt allegedly speeding and driving inattentively. Yoder seeks more than $75,000 in damages.
