Police chief Josh Whitwell presented a letter to Marion City Council on Monday regarding the work of city employees following a storm June 17.
“Long after everyone went home, five employees continued to work,” Whitwell said Monday.
He said Harvey Sanders, Christian Pedersen, Travis Schafers, Randy Kelsey, and Frank Werner never complained and knew exactly what needed to be done.
“This is a testament to the work ethic of these city employees,” Whitwell said.
Whitwell’s complete letter is on page 2 of this edition.
City crews continue to pick up tree limbs and debris caused by the storm. Workers have begun on Tanglewood Drive and are moving west across town.
