Cooperative Grain and Supply and Agri Trails Coop have joined to form a new propane company.
Co-Ag Propane will service residential, agricultural, and commercial propane customers. The partnership will create a large service area with the ability and support to expand as the company grows.
“Partnering the two co-ops will provide the communities we already serve with a locally owned and operated propane option,” said Jerry Fenske, general manager of Cooperative Grain and Supply. “In an area where a lot of choices are disappearing, we are excited to have the opportunity to add instead of take away.”
The board of directors from each parent co-op unanimously approved the formation of the new partnership.
“The timing and the partnership feel right,” said Darel Anderson, general manager of Agri Trails Co-op. “Both co-ops share similar company values, focused on providing excellent customer service and strengthening our local communities. Co-Ag Propane will operate using the same principles.”
Customers do not need to be a member of either of the cooperatives. More information is available from either co-op, including Jerry Fenske at firstname.lastname@example.org or (620) 947-3917 in Hillsboro.
