Sixty-five Collett descendents met Oct. 11 at Marion County Lake Hall for a reunion.
After dinner, a white elephant auction was held. Auctioneers Gina Marx and Deanna Talbott entertained the crowd.
Plans for the 2010 reunion were discussed. The family will be celebrating the 150th anniversary since the first Collett family moved to the Elk community in Chase County. The next reunion will be a three-day event in conjunction with Marion’s Old Settlers’ Day.
Officers for the 2010 reunion are president Keith Collett and secretary Jeanne Owens.
