Remember two years ago when two flamingos escaped from the Wichita Zoo? They had just suddenly disappeared. Finally, one of them was seen down south. Just the other day it was seen again walking along with a friend.
An article from New Orleans tells of an alligator farmer. I never knew they actually raise them for money. They are expecting a crop this year worth $10 million. Maybe we are in the wrong business.
Do you remember the story of my giving a necklace to my granddaughter with the little white jeweled glove? A paper now says one of Michael Jackson’s gloves will sell for $1 million at auction. I must tell Mandy that her necklace might be valuable.
I am now reading a book about Clementine Paddleford. She was a Kansas woman who wrote about food. She was sort of like Julia Child. It was sort of a first. People were just becoming interested in good food. There are some recipes in the book I wish I could try. They really sound delicious.
