Representatives from five Marion churches celebrated World Day of Prayer on Friday at Eastmoor United Methodist Church.

The event’s theme was “Jesus Said, ‘Do you Understand What I Have Done For You?’”

Song leader Sue Clough and pianist Keith Allison led the group in song.

In a foot-washing scene from the Bible, Fred Puttroff portrayed Jesus and Kevin Gerer played Simon Peter.

Others taking part were Mary Ford, Janet Bryant, Margaret Pickering, Helen Reznicek, Connie Fisher, Jan Helmer, and Ann Carr.
