Conservation program deadline extended

Farmers and ranchers interested in the Natural Resources Conservation Service’s Conservation Stewardship Program have until Feb. 7 to enroll for fiscal year 2014.

The program is intended to help producers improve soil quality, water quality and quantity, air quality, plant resources, animal resources, energy use, and reduce erosion.
