Cookie contest planned

Show off your decorating skills in the Marion County Cookie Decorating Contest. Bake your favorite cookie, decorate it, and bring it to the Marion County Record office, 117 S. Third St. in Marion by Dec. 10 and fill out an entry form.

The public can vote for their favorite cookie Dec. 11 through 18 by placing a donation in jars at Carlsons’ Grocery and the Marion County Record office in Marion; Vogt’s Hometown Market in Hillsboro; and Don’s Drug Store in Peabody.

The cookie receiving the most in donations will win the contest. All donations collected will be donated to the food bank.

The winner will be announced in the Christmas issue to be published Dec. 23. For more information, see the advertisement in this issue.
