Adam Cope, a member of Marion-Florence FFA Chapter, was recognized Thursday for having one of the best career development programs in the state at the 83rd Kansas FFA Convention.
He received a state FFA proficiency award during the convention for outstanding accomplishment in development programs that will prepare him for a career in agriculture.
Cope won the award in beef production placement. The Marion High School graduate currently works for Doyle Creek Land and Cattle Company.
His application will compete at the national level with results to be announced in October at the national FFA convention.
