Forsberg’s brother recovering

Evelyn Forsberg received news that her brother, Elmer Forsberg of Apache Junction, Ariz., had a heart attack Jan. 18. She learned Sunday that he is doing better.

Glenn Carlson was an afternoon visitor Friday of Evelyn Forsberg.

Lee Shade visited Gene Ecklund Jan. 18. Ecklund is recovering from a recent surgery.

Ruth Riggin is now residing at Holiday Resort in Salina. Her address is Room 300, 2825 Resort Drive, Salina 67401.

Perry Gutsch and Whitney of Herington took Darlene Gutsch to Salina Jan. 17 for a doctor’s appointment. She had stitches removed from a Dec. 29 surgery. Perry and Whitney did some shopping before returning home.

Many community members attended a fundraiser sponsored by the Burdick Relay for Life team Saturday at the Burdick legion hall. Several kinds of soup were served followed by bingo and a Texas Hold ‘Em tournament.

Saturday visitors of Marilyn Hageberg were Kenny and Teresa Roberts of Topeka, Mike Hageberg, and Phillip Ford of Greeley, Colo.

Burdick United Methodist Church services were canceled Sunday.

Dean Forsberg was a Jan. 19 and Friday visitor of Evelyn Forsberg.

Lee Shade was an afternoon visitor of Gary Hageberg Friday at Herington Municipal Hospital.

Phil and Jamie Peterson took Lois and Jim Peterson out for dinner Friday in Lost Springs to celebrate their birthdays. Other guests included Marilyn, Roger, and Rolland Peterson and Kinsley Shup.

John and Tory Jost, Collin, and Anna Mae of St. John were Saturday supper guests of Clint and Diana Jost.

Isla Rose Nelson is now residing at Bethany Home in Lindsborg. Her address is Bethany Home, 321 N Chestnut St, Lindsborg KS 67456.
