Couples attend tournament

Gary and Marilyn Hageberg accompanied Mike and Denice Hageberg Saturday to a sub-state basketball tournament at Buhler to watch Trevor Hageberg play for Centre High School. Unfortunately, the Cougars lost to Pretty Prairie. Burdette and Maureen Peterson also attended the game. CHS was recognized for taking second place at the sub-state tournament.

Linda Peterson was a visitor March 1 of Darlene Gutsch, bringing medicine and reading materials from Herington.

Dean Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg Feb. 28, March 2, and Friday.

Charles and Arlene Carlson were dinner guests Sunday of Kent and Jean Brunner at Ramona. Others who attended were Nolan Brunner, Leah, and Noah of Herington and Jill Brunner and Tucker of Emporia.

Evelyn Forsberg visited Jane Rickenbrode March 2 at Council Grove.

Naomi Nelson, Tom Nelson, James Jost, and Rachel Davelaar were dinner guests Sunday of Clint and Diana Jost.

Harry Schump of Herington was a visitor Thursday afternoon of Evelyn Forsberg.

Corlberg-Smith 147 Auxiliary met March 1 at the Legion Hall Building with five members in attendance. They included Rosemary Hempleman, Linnea Barlow, Lois Peterson, Bonnie Sill, and Nancy Hanson. The next meeting will be 2 p.m. May 3 at Burdick with Darlene Gutsch as host. The auxiliary is recruiting members. Elinor Remy visited Harold Diepenbrock Friday morning at Medicalodges at Herington.

Evelyn Forsberg attended a third birthday party and dinner for Konnor Dunkin Saturday hosted by Marcus and Sabrina Dunkin at their home at Rose Hill.

Clint and Diana Jost were supper guests Thursday of Leon and Pat Mills at Herington.

Perry Gutsch was a visitor March 2 of Darlene Gutsch.

Evelyn Forsberg visited Harry Schump Sunday after church and was a dinner guest at his home in Herington.
