Josts host guest from Abilene

Kaylee Weibert of Abilene was a guest March 30 through April 2 of Clint and Diana Jost.

Gary and Karen Korte of Emporia took Forrest and Marie Anderson to Topeka on April 1 to a Kenny Rogers concert. This was an anniversary gift from the Kortes.

Roger Peterson, Rolland Peterson, and Lois Peterson joined other relatives April 3 to celebrate Gene and Marie Thorton’s birthday at Brookville Hotel at Abilene. Others attending the dinner were Steve and Mary Ann Thorton of Abilene and David and Dyan Thorton and Olivia of Wichita.

Dan and Linda Peterson went to Eudora Saturday to watch Daniel Peterson play soccer. The 4-year-old is the youngest member of the team.

Chelsea Cowart of Herington was an overnight guest Saturday of Burdette and Maureen Peterson.

Dean Forsberg was a dinner guest April 6 of Evelyn Forsberg.

Charles and Arlene Carlson were dinner guests of Kent and Jean Brunner Sunday at Ramona. Other guests were Nolan Brunner of Herington and Jill Brunner and Tucker of Emporia.

Ethan Forsberg visited Evelyn Forsberg Thursday.

Burdette and Maureen Peterson took Bret and Lisa Beye, Cuyler, and Chelsea Cowart of Herington and Marvin Peterson of Lincolnville to Junction City Sunday for dinner. They celebrated Bret’s 50th birthday.

Evelyn Forsberg visited Harry Schump at Herington Saturday evening.

Forrest and Marie Anderson stayed with Gary and Karen Korte Thursday through Saturday in Emporia. On Thursday, Karen took Forrest and Marie to a doctor’s appointment in Topeka. Gary and Karen took Forrest and Marie to Oklahoma Friday to visit Junior Dye who recently had cancer treatment. The Andersons returned home Saturday to Burdick.

A large crowd attended a carry-in dinner Friday evening at Burdick Legion Shelter House. Hamburgers were served. This was in honor of Joe and Alysia Towey. Joe will be leaving for Afghanistan soon to serve in the military.

Willie and Savannah Hicks visited Evelyn Forsberg Sunday morning. Harry Schump of Herington was Evelyn’s dinner and supper guest.

Perry Gutsch of Herington was a visitor noon Sunday of Darlene Gutsch. He brought a grilled pork chop dinner and did some chores for Darlene. Sam and Dena Bowman and Aaron also visited for a short time.

The Burdick United Methodist Women’s Guest Spring Tea will be 6:30 p.m. April 20 at the fellowship hall. There will be a guest speaker.
