A quilt now on display at the center will be the prize awarded to one ticket-holder in October as a fundraiser for the center. The winning ticket will be drawn Oct. 19.

The quilt top was donated by Jean Bailey and quilted by Evelyn Jewett, Shirley Bowers, Sue Clough, and Almeda Kahns.

Don Fruechting brought in frozen catfish ready to be cooked. The fish were quickly taken.

Jewelry and billfolds are new items at the craft corner.

Irene Richmond brought treats for her 95th birthday, Sept. 9.

The first ticket to the Marion County Senior Citizens annual meeting in Marion on Oct. 20 has been sold. Everyone pays $5 that day and needs a reservation. No meal tickets may be used.

Faye Wagner, pastor at Valley United Methodist Church, presented a vocal music program Sept. 14.

Join us on Sept. 28, when Gayla Ratzlaff will talk about climbing Mount Bierstadt in Colorado.
