People continue to bring in their flowers to share — peonies, irises, and roses. Flowers seem to be extra bright and beautiful this spring.

Marion Senior Center welcomed residents of Marion Assisted Living who came to eat with us on May 1. There were 64 people at the center for lunch that day.

Carlsons’ Grocery Store donated some cookies this week.

The center’s penny jar was filled and taken to the bank to be counted. The pennies added up to $44.87. Wanda Hamm guessed $45.65 as the winning estimate, although there was no prize.

Keith Allison played the piano May 2.

Senior Center Day will be May 16. Marion County Department on Aging Coordinator Gayla Ratzlaff will present information about pertinent issues.
