Larry and Thelma Blosser provided treats for their wedding anniversary Nov. 10.
Nov. 11 was National Corduroy Day and Veterans Day. Visitors did some question-and-answer trivia about what was once Armistice Day.
Teddy Bear Day was Nov. 14. Sylvia Helmer brought what she thought was a bear, but it turned out to be a bunny. Patrons sang, “The Teddy Bear’s Picnic.”
On Nov. 15, the center received apples, potatoes, and many bakery goods from the Kansas Food Bank to give away. Gene Winkler went to Wichita to get them.
Nov. 16 was Senior Center Day. Bill Woford provided ice cream cups in celebration of his birthday. Bennie Holtsclaw provided entertainment.
The center will be open the day after Thanksgiving.
Visitors are invited to come to the center Nov. 30 for a presentation by Linda Chase on foster grandparenting. Two local women, Marie Hoffner and Madonna Schafers, do this.
