Reservations may be made for the annual dinner of Marion County Senior Citizens organization. The group will celebrate 50 years with a meal and a meeting Oct. 21.

Ralph and Luella Popp substituted for Janet Bryant on Sept. 21 when Bryant attended the Senior Fair in Salina. She attended a dance workshop and learned to disco dance. The van transported Estelle McCarty, Virginia Downing, Velma Hadley, Barbara Smith, Shirley Bowers, Marlene Anduss, Iona Dietrich, and Bryant. Coordinator Gayla Ratzlaff was the driver. Others from Marion County also attended.

Many came to the center Sept. 22 to Janet Blue’s vocal music performance. She sang songs by Patsy Cline and some gospel. Hilltop Manor and Marion Assisted Living residents also attended.

Marion senior citizens recently elected officers. They are president Shirley Moore, vice president Leonard Klassen, secretary Marilyn Geis, and treasurer Ralph Popp.

Ratzlaff will demonstrate tai chi movements after lunch Oct. 6.
