Birthday celebrated

Wilma Gilmer celebrated her birthday Feb. 11, providing ice cream and cake.

Diners were encouraged to wear red or hearts for Valentine’s Day. Special placemats were used that were decorated with hearts. Shirley Bowers brought her heart-shaped wall hanging and Shirley Moore brought cookies. Carolyn White, Shirley Moore, Arlene Bowers, Keith Holtsclaw, Paul White, and Vern Bowers provided a skit about husbands and wives.

County emergency medical services director Steve Smith provided information Feb. 16 about what a patient and family should do after a 911 call is made and while waiting for an ambulance.

New merchandise is available in the Craft Corner including hats, caps, and cloth frogs.

Gene Winkler is a new Meals on Wheels volunteer driver. More volunteers are needed as substitute drivers and to assist in the dining room.

Carolyn Stewart of Lifeline will present information March 2.
