Marion Senior Center correspondent

New officers were selected Sept. 16 on Senior Center Day. Selected were Shirley Moore, president; Mary Hett, vice president; Marilyn Geis, secretary; and Ralph Popp, treasurer.

Sue Clough shared new artwork with seniors Sept. 10 and explained how she painted it.

On Patriot Day, Sept. 11, seniors sang the National Anthem and recited the Pledge of Allegiance.

Eula Colle brought treats for her birthday.

Almeda Kahns brought a granny square quilt.

Connie Fisher was welcomed as a 20-hour weekly worker.

Roger and Lucille Bitner celebrated their anniversary Sept. 15 with treats.

Mike Regnier, Marion fire chief, gave a presentation on the history of firefighting in Marion.

The center will have a sing-along Sept. 30 with Shirley Bowers.
