Beulah Weigart brought in the first flower of spring Feb. 20. Did I mention it was a daffodil?
Evelyn Obermeyer’s birthday also was Feb. 20, and she brought treats.
On Feb. 23, we celebrated two birthdays with cake provided by Jerry Kline and ice cream cups from Dorothy Conyers.
Bob and Anita Brookens were here for lunch on that big day as guests of Jerry.
Madonna Schafers of Emporia also was a visitor that day.
Virginia Downing was interviewed by a reporter with “Keynotes,” which is a publication for older Kansans and their families from Area Agency on Aging.
We had person affirmation of our nutritious meals by Rowena Olsen who reported a good medical checkup.
Dr. Karrie Rathbone, a Tabor College faculty member, gave a presentation Feb. 25, “Seniors Growing Green.” She provided information and spoke about her interterm trip with Tabor students to Belize.
There will be no program March 4. Henrietta Waner and I will be in Junction City for our yearly training.
Come on March 6 when Eagle Communications will bring a computer and invite people to use the Internet.
