When a staff person from North Central Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging came March 19 to pickup Paper Plate Campaign boxes, we had 195 plates ready. Thanks to the Marion County Record for doing an article about it in the March 25 issue.
We continue our marketing plan, offering the first meal free to anyone not in our files. We are asked by the area agency to report four new diners a month. Come in and be a new free meal diner.
Nancy Pihl gave a program March 25 on “Sleep: Want It, Need It, Get It.” I changed into fuzzy slippers, a robe, and carried a teddy bear to welcome her.
Join us April 8. Rhonda Schur-Abell, consultant with Hospice Care of Kansas of McPherson, will provide information.
The Marion County Department for Elderly newsletter crew gathered March 23 and efficiently prepared the newsletter for mailing. They included Albert Steele, Ivanlee Timm, Elsie Reiswig, Evelyn Jewett, Harvey Wells, Ernie Lespagnard, Nora Richter, Jane Makovec, Beulah Weigart, Norma Woerz, Sue Clough, Gayla Ratzlaff, and Lanell Hett.
