We are observing National Etiquette Week with a lot of trivia. Since we celebrated National Fork Day in October, we are especially good at fork questions!

The men finished a 1,000-piece jigsaw puzzle — a winter scene with cardinals. The puzzle’s box had information about the symbols in the puzzle, including the cardinals, snow, and berries on the bush.

We noted “No Socks Day” May 8, having missed “Lumpy Rug Day” on May 3 and “Respect for Chickens Day” on May 4.

On Tuesday, we welcomed 13 people who were attending an area agency workshop at the city building.

Emily Hunter, executive director of Symphony in the Flint Hills, talked to us May 13. She gave us copies of the 2008 Symphony program book so we could get an idea of the amazing event coming to our area in June.

Come join us for lunch May 27. After lunch, Sondra Mayfield, who works in the Marion County Health office, will be here with her child safety van.
