Gary and Carole Spohn attended the Obermeyer-Beckel-Shippy reunion Aug. 20 in Herington.

Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City was an overnight guest of his mother, Lucille Kerbs, Aug. 13. They attended the Kerbs family reunion at the Friendship Center in Salina on Aug. 14.

After the reunion Lucille accompanied Clayton and Leah Kerbs and Tagen Wallace to Topeka. Lucille stayed with her sister, Cecile Penney, and visited other relatives, until Glenn brought her home Aug. 18. Glenn was an overnight guest of Lucille. They were joined by Tim Kerbs of Salina Aug. 19, and the two men did some yard work for their mother.

Tampa residents enjoyed the movie “Soul Surfer” at the senior center Aug. 20. Many hit the café for a barbecue buffet before the movie.

Lucille Kerbs visited Lois Sklenar and Valerie Hampton in Hillsboro on Aug. 23.

Leona Kleiber, Adeline Bernhardt, and Edna Mueller went to Salina on Aug. 24 for dinner and shopping.

Susie Rziha and Janie Alta, Antonio, Sebastian, Raphael, and Mariana of Chippewa Falls, Wisc. spent the week with Jerry and Jeanne Rhiza.

Tom and Dee Duggan met Everett and Rhea Kolling in Herington after church Aug. 21. They ate dinner in an early celebration of Rhea’s birthday.

Georgia Spohn and Jane Vajnar enjoyed dinner out in Hope on Aug. 21.

Lori Moldenhauer and Lisa Hanschu and Anna were frequent visitors of Frank and Anna Mae Stika this past week.

Lucille Kerbs visited Connie Thompson and Taylor for dinner in Abilene on Aug. 20.

Tom and Dee Duggan and Adeline Bernhardt attended the monthly meeting of the Marion County Senior Citizens Board in Hillsboro on Aug. 19. Later, the Duggans met in Lincolnville with Deb Hall and Kaylee of Herington, and they went to Wichita.

Glenn Kerbs and Lucille Kerbs visited Lois Sklenar at the Salina Community Medical Center on Aug. 18.

Tom and Dee Duggan went to Emporia Aug. 18 for a doctor’s appointment and dinner out.

Mary Clemmer recently heard from Ranney Vogt that he is recovering from pump replacement surgery, which he underwent Aug. 15. In his childhood Ranney spent many hours at the Clemmers’ Hillsboro home, visiting the Clemmer boys and listening to classical music.
