The Shady Ladies Chapter of the Red Hat Society had lunch Feb. 16 at a bed and breakfast in Hillsboro. All members attended, including Joyce Cox of Abilene; Ramona Goracke, Anita Hummel, and Betty Schlesener of Hope; Barbara Askew, Rose Mary Deines, Karolyn Schlesener, Rhea Kolling, Alice Bell, and Helen Sorenson of Herington; and Ramona Beisel, Adeline Bernhardt, Dee Duggan, and Leona Kleiber. Guests Connie Gentz and Mary Wendt joined them.
Connie Thompson and Taylor of Abilene, Tim Kerbs of Salina, and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn helped Lucille Kerbs celebrate her birthday Feb. 15 with dinner out in Durham. Later, Russ Kerbs joined them for cake and ice cream at Lucille’s home. She also received many cards, phone calls, and gifts on her special day.
Anna Weber visited her grandparents, Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Feb. 15.
Edna Mueller and Adeline Bernhardt went to Hillsboro Feb. 17.
Tom and Dee Duggan went to Lincolnville Feb. 16 and picked up Kaylee Hall’s consignment of Girl Scouts cookies to take to her. Then they stopped at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Herington for a pancake feed.
Mary Clemmer recently talked to Martha Melcher of Herington. She recently had a couple of operations and is recovering.
As an early celebration of Lucille Kerbs’ birthday, Doug and Connie Thompson and Taylor, Allison Phillips and Jeremy Sluder of Abilene, Russ and Julie Kerbs and Rustyn, Jesse and Ashton Smith and Sydney, and Lucille for dinner Feb. 14 in Abilene.
Attending the card party at the senior center Feb. 14 in Ramona were Adeline Bernhardt, Edna Mueller, Tillie Hein, Walt and Iona Dietrich, and Tom and Dee Duggan.
Many people attended the benefit supper for Isaac Clymer Feb. 13 at the senior center. The event was sponsored by St. John’s Lutheran Church and Lutheran Financial Thrivent to help with the expense of therapy for Isaac to correct a vision problem.
Lori Moldenhauer visited her daughter, Nikki Stenzel, Feb. 12 in Manhattan and they had supper out.
Gary and Carole Spohn and Georgia Spohn met Steve and Sheri Spohn Feb 12 for dinner out in Abilene in celebration of Sheri’s birthday. On the way home, the group stopped at Steve and Sheri’s for cake and ice cream.
Greg Skelnar of Wichita spent Feb. 13 and 14 with his mother, Lois Sklenar.
Tom and Dee Duggan and Kaylee Hall went to Kaylee’s basketball game Feb. 13 in Junction City. They ate breakfast out and went to Salina to see a movie.

Lucille Kerbs went to Abilene Feb. 13 and accompanied Connie Thompson to Salina for an appointment, dinner out, and shopping.
