The Tampa area has received a lot of rain. Everything is lush and green, ponds are filling up, and the weather is cool and pleasant. Then again, there is the mud and large puddles or small lakes.
Many Tampa people attended visitation at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro on April 4 and the funeral service Thursday at the Baptist church in Durham for Geraldine Frick. She spent her life in the Durham and Tampa areas and had many friends.
Andrea Klenda and Elijah and Evan of Pilsen and Leona Kleiber enjoyed dinner at the café March 28.
The new playground at the site of the old high school is nearing completion, although progress was slowed somewhat by the rains.
Many Tampa people attended visitation and a military ceremony at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro on April 2 in memory of Don Klein. He will be greatly missed by his friends and neighbors here.
Leona Kleiber, Adeline Bernhardt, Betty Mueller, and Lucille Kerbs attended an Easter program at Morning Star Church on April 1.
Anna Mae Stika attended the funeral of Marcel Benda in Pilsen on March 31.
Norma Wagner of Wichita, her son, Tracy Brandt, of Idaho, and Georgia Spohn were March 31 guests of Gary and Carole Spohn.
Adeline Bernhardt spent March 30 to April 1 at the home of Barney and Linda Bernhardt in Wichita. On Saturday, they all attended a baby shower for Josh and Megan Martin and little baby Joy, who is expected to arrive in May. Adeline also visited with Carl and Kathy Hubbard.
