Sunflower Senior Citizens enjoyed a bus tour Tuesday to Newton and Goessel. They toured the Kaufman Museum in Newton, ate dinner at a local restaurant, and then stopped in the afternoon at the Mennonite Heritage Museum at Goessel. Those going on the outing included Jim and Mary Clemmer, Betty Roth, Al and Darlene Sondergard, Zeb and Norma Wright, Jane Vajnar, Don and Carol Zaideman, and Shirley Zaideman.
Georgia Spohn met Lenora Graham of Florence Monday morning in Hillsboro for a Learning in Retirement program at Tabor College. Denise Brown, an education consultant, presented a program on “boy-friendly” classrooms. Later, Lenora and Georgia enjoyed dinner out.
Lynn and Peggy Kleiber and Nicholas of Salina and Leona Kleiber were supper guests Sunday of Dale and Andrea Klenda and Elijah of Pilsen.
Tom and Dee Duggan spent Thursday through Sunday with Darla Hall and Adam at Lee’s Summit, Mo.
Leona Kleiber and Adeline Bernhardt attended a breakfast and auction Sunday at a church in Pilsen.
Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City was an overnight guest Friday of Lucille Kerbs. Members of St. John Lutheran Church Women’s Missionary League were hosts of the annual World Day of Prayer service and salad supper. The women of Trinity Lutheran Church of Ramona and St. John enjoyed an evening of food, fellowship, and worship. Those attending included Pastor Clark Davis, Kathy Davis, Barb Hanschu, Jean Brunner, Leona Deines, Joy Sarapa, Leola Neuschafer, Gertrude Moennich, Lucille Kerbs, Shirley Zaideman, and Don and Carol Zaideman.
